| New for 2012 at Dollywood - Barnstormer |
Enjoy the same breathtaking moments that daring stunt pilots of the1920s might have experienced as they zoomed over the fields of nearby farms. The $5.5 million Barnstormer features two pendulum arms with seating for 32 riders.
 Seated back to back, riders travel higher on each swing of the Barnstormer’s massive arms, reaching a max speed of 45 mph and 230 degrees of rotation. At its peak, the Barnstormer reaches a staggering 81 feet in the air!
The Barnstormer rests amid a big red barn creating a huge barnyard-themed area which includes a 22-foot by 16-foot bi-plane play area as well as a pig pen water play area for children.

| Dollywood received the 2010 Applause Award |
During a special ceremony at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Expo in Orlando, Fla., on Nov. 16, 2010.
The Applause Award, the most prestigious award within the amusement and theme park industry, honors a park whose management, operations and creative accomplishments have inspired the industry with its foresight, originality and sound business development. The award is presented every other year by Liseberg amusement park located in Gothenburg, Sweden. For this 2010 award, Dollywood competed with Alton Towers in the UK and Phantasialand in Germany for the honor.

Dollywood Nights will be held August 8-14, 2012 with park operating hours extended to 10:00 p.m. each evening.
Dollywood opens at 10:00 a.m. each day during Dollywood Nights (except Saturday when the park opens at 9 a.m.)
Most rides will operate during the extended hours.
Aside from the evening hours during the park's wintertime Smoky Mountain Christmas festival,
Dollywood Nights offers a rare occasion to enjoy Dollywood's rides, including the award-winning coasters
Thunderhead and Mystery Mine ---- in the dark.

Dollywood Coupons: One of the biggest questions we get asked is where to find coupons for Dollywood. Unfortunately, Dollywood doesn't broker out discounts to third parties much any more, so if you see discounts from other places then it is probably timeshare bait. McDonald’s and Wendy’s restaurants in Pigeon Forge often have $5 off coupons for Dollywood or Splash Country on their bags. It’s definitely worth a look when you roll into town to stop at either of those restaurants! The official Dollywood website is the main source of Dollywood coupons. The $5 million River Battle is a themed water raft ride equipped with powerful soaker guns. Eight rafts, seven of which will accommodate eight passengers and one ADA raft that will accommodate six passengers and one passenger in a wheelchair, follow a 500-foot channel. As the rafts navigate the waters, the battle begins as passengers, each armed with a soaker gun, take aim at each other and more than 100 targets along the way, including large-scale "talking animals"—beavers, skunks, otters, bears and more. |
