New for 2020 - Fury 325 - world's tallest and fastest giga coaster!
Fury 325 simulates the wild, daring and spontaneous flight of the hornet. Riders will board one of the three 32-passenger open air trains and begin their ascent to the top of a 325-foot tall hill (over 30 stories) followed by an initial 81-degree first drop. The train then races through a series of hills, curves and quick transitions while reaching speeds of up to 95 miles per hour.

Two New Breathtaking Water Slides Coming to Boomerang Bay in 2020
Carowinds, Thrill Capital of the Southeast, is excited to bring two new breathtaking water slides to Boomerang Bay for Summer 2020. The mega-slides are the first phase of a multi-year, multi-million dollar capital investment plan at Carowinds. The new slides will stand over 4 stories high and add 600+feet of sliding fun, bringing new thrills and splashes to the popular water park. The slides will offer two distinctively different rides unique to Boomerang Bay.

What are the best days to visit?
Plan to visit when attendance is lightest. Best bets: Weekdays during the summer and any regular operating day during the months of April, May, September and October.
During certain low-traffic seasons or at other times when Carowinds wants to drum up business, these can be great values, indeed. Don't book a package that includes features you probably would not use. The Kennel at Carowinds
Pets are not allowed inside Carowinds (except for service animals). Carowinds does provide accommodations for pets on a daily basis at the Pet Kennel. The Pet Kennel is located to the left of Guest Services at the security claim office.
Policies
Reservations are not accepted.
Overnight lodging is not available.
An individual registering a pet must be at least 18 years of age and must sign a registration sheet. The same individual must check out the pet, and sign the registration sheet.
ALL BREEDS of dogs are accepted as long as they are under control. Any animal that can be SAFELY kept at Pet Kennel will be accepted.
All types of animals are accepted providing there is a kennel of the appropriate size available.
Birds can be left in their own cages and then placed inside one of the pet kennels.
Ferrets and similar animals must be in their own cages.
Shot records are not required.
Pets are permitted at the Camp Wilderness Wilderness Resort at no extra charge, but must be kept on a leash at the guest's site.
Carowinds opens in late March each year and closes in early November, after the park's Halloween event, "Scarowinds". In 2005, a portion of the park reopened during December for the Winterfest Christmas festival. However, the park did not repeat the event in 2006, citing poor attendance. A similar decision was made regarding Kings Island's Winterfest.
Carolina Cyclone
A steel coaster that spins guests through four consecutive 360 degree loops and a 450 degree uphill helix. This 125-foot tall towering twisting serpent will send riders speeding through three inversions, including a cobra roll and a 360-degree loop - both forward and then again backwards.
Carolina Cobra is adorned with newly designed trains exclusive only to its tracks. No other parks in the United States have yet to utilize these spacious trains, designed specifically for a heightened rider-experience.
